REVIEW: Numen - Galdutako Itxaropenaren Eresia Goimusic, 2001
4/10
Numen - Galdutako Itxaropenaren Eresia - cover art In my mind I can remember one - 1 - Spanish metal band that has ever caught my attention, and that is Asgaroth, which is a marvellous black metal band. I do receive quite much from Spain though, and Numen from the Basque part of the country, is one of them. Sadly, my vision on Spanish metal will not improve much with this, although it is decent stuff Numen has come up with. Melodic Black Metal it can be categorized as, lending parts from Basque folk music to make an own touch to it. Somehow though, the production gets too fuzzy, and the brilliance disappears, together with most of the more innovative parts. Where they manage to do the folk parts, it sounds allright, but where they do not, they just sound like another band in the crowd, and that is the annoying part. It's not the worst I've heard from Spain though, but it didn't really give me anything neither...
