REVIEW: Opeth - Damnation Music For Nations, 2003
10/10
Opeth - Damnation - cover art I can sum this entire album up in one simple word-Beautiful. Not for the average metal head this Opeth release sees the band shedding it’s growls and air guitar inspiring riffs for a very tranquil and overall melodic album. Certainly well known for playing neck breaking brutal metal and lacing it with acoustic instrumentation and soft vocals, Opeth has always kept the listener at the edge of their seat in anticipation of the next verse or riff. The anticipation and instrumental quality has not changed on Damnation but the mix is totally new.
