REVIEW: Orphanage - Driven Nuclear Blast, 2004
6/10
Orphanage - Driven - cover art Although Orphanage are relatively famous and have released 5 albums, yet this one is a rather mediocre release. The alternation of the hard male vocals of George and the female ones of Rosan is positive but not enough to save the situation. The lack of inspiration and the repeating rhythms make their atmospheric death metal boring. I will only refer to the most interesting tracks of the album, which starts with a very good "Sign". However the continuation is worse. The atmospheric instrumental "Black Gate" creates relaxing feelings and the only tracks that seem to have some personality are "Truth or Lies" "Driven" and "Beyond The Fall".
