REVIEW: Pax - 10,000 Words Roastinghouse Records, 2006
2/10
Pax - 10,000 Words - cover art The Swedish brothers Christian and Michael Fridh are both experienced musicians. They started the band Pax together with two friends after working as musicians for some years. And there is sure nothing wrong with the musical skills on their album 10,000 Words and it is well produced. But that is just not enough to make a good record. There has to be good songs as well, and the material on 10,000 Words is too boring and plain. Pax’s music is some kind of feel good rock. There is too much 80’s rock and it is just not good enough to keep my attention for an entire track. The ballads are worst and I wonder how anyone can stand listening to this cheesy shit. And come on… don’t tune out every track, make a proper end to the songs instead. Avoid this one, you’re better off without ever having to listen to this.
