REVIEW: Pink Cream 69 - Endangered Massacre Records, 2001
5.5/10
Pink Cream 69 - Endangered - cover art If you are a metal-only fanatic then you can stop reading now. I have to admit that I don't like Pink Cream 69 (their music that is) very much but it's not because they're not metal. They are just not that good. I like classical music, darkwave, metal, hard rock, some pop music and even love ballads but this is not the kind of music I would find myself listening too. Pink Cream 69 is referred to as a melodic metal band by the label but I would rather compare their music to Whitesnake if you remember what they used to sound like in their golden days. Whitesnake were a great band with one of the best male vocalists in the history of mankind but this only sound like a pale, foolish copy. The music is very good now and then with some classic hard rock riffs but altogether the album sounds a bit weak. There is no real power that lifts it to a higher level the way David Coverdale's voice and passion did with Whitesnake. If you are in a daring mood then check this out but I wouldn't recommend it to the average metal fan. This is a good party album though but it isn't suited for plain lonely stereo listening.
