REVIEW: Pro-Pain - Age Of Tyranny: The Tenth Crusade Candlelight Records, 2007
10/10
Pro-Pain - Age Of Tyranny: The Tenth Crusade - cover art Since Pro-Pain's debut CD, not much has changed in the line of their sound. There have only been slight changes and variations to their signature groove style. Their lyrical content, also, has yet to devoid much as they continue to stick primarily to political issues regarding the United States. But, on their tenth full length, does it still stack up to their previous efforts?

Hell yes it does! Everything you could possibly love about Pro-Pain is featured on this album, from the music that will make you bang your head wildly to the rough vocals (pretty much the only stand out hardcore element left to their sound at this point) that match the music perfectly, and everything in between. The band have found a formula that has yet to become old, and continue to stick with it once again, bringing a very familiar edge to the sound, as well as incorporating some more singing again on this release!

Lyrically the album is the same as its predecessors, however it seems to focus more on President George W. Bush Jr., as well as the war in Iraq, more so then previous recordings. For the metal fan with an anti-bush opinion, this CD will surely bring a smile, and will deliver a swift punch in the face to his supporters.

If you heard a Pro-Pain album before, you know what you're going to get here. With their well produced tenth album comprised of practically every good thing about the band's style, there's no need to worry about if the album will not be to your liking. Age Of Tyranny is, hands down, one of the band's best releases in their career.
