REVIEW: Pro-Pain - Shreds Of Dignity Nuclear Blast, 2002
8.5/10
Pro-Pain - Shreds Of Dignity - cover art Rough, hard and crushing are words suited to describe the music of the American band Pro-Pain. This is one of the most hard working bands out there today and after seven full-length albums and more than 600 000 albums sold they are stronger than ever before. Their music reminds me a little of Machine Head and other similar bands but it is more raw, aggressive and also faster. If you are allergic to nu-metal then you can stay calm because this is definitely not anything resembling Limp Bizkit, Creed, Korn or any other such band. This is straight-forward thrash metal mixed with some hardcore influences and full of powerful killer riffs and great aggressive vocals. If you are looking for energy and power foremost than Pro-Pain is a very good choice. They have been in the game for more than 10 years and they have come a long way since they started out, that's one thing for sure. This is some of the best music the US has got to offer today and if you haven't yet heard of Pro-Pain you have missed out on a great metal band. This album is a very even one and almost every single track is great.
