REVIEW: Rammstein - Herzeleid Motor Music, 1995
9.5/10
Rammstein - Herzeleid - cover art The German band Rammstein is one of the best new metal bands of the world in the late 90s and this is their debut album from 1995. They play a very unique kind of metal which you either like or dislike since most of their music sound very similar - heavy and sharp guitar riffs with an electronic touch. You might call their style industrial techno-metal and it is extremely well done. The music is accompanied by deep powerful and clean male vocals that suit their style perfectly. The only thing that might disturb many people is that they keep writing their lyrics in German with not one single song being in English. The band has also been accused of being rasists and fascists which they strongly deny and there is nothing in their texts that could be interpreted as being either of it. This is unfortunately something that easily happen to heavy metal bands singing in German. However, this is one of the best metal albums of the 90s and if you like this type of music you should buy this record as soon as possible.
