This must be one of the best epic albums of
all time! Rhapsody is an Italian metal band consisting of true musical
geniuses. The most prominent of them is probably Luca Turilli who writes all
the lyrics as well as compose most of the music together with Alex Scaropoli.
This is a really complex mix of symphonic power metal, soundtrack music and
classical music. Great melodic music, sometimes really fast, sometimes slow.
This is a powerful masterpiece by some of the brightest minds of music today.
On this recording you can, except for the band members themselves, also hear
several choirs, flute and violin players appear. The singer is also one of the
best singers on the metal scene - Fabio Lione, who since this album has
released a debut album with his new band Vision Divine. Luca Turilli has also
started a solo project and has released an album. Italy continues to produce
the best of symphonic metal. If you haven't heard Rhapsody or Luca Turilli
you have really missed something!
