REVIEW: Sadistik Exekution - Fukk Osmose Productions, 2002
7/10
Sadistik Exekution - Fukk - cover art Sadistik Exekution is one of the earliest black metal bands in the world and one of a few big Australian ones. They have also gained some sort of cult status on the black metal scene because of the high level of controversy and insanity surrounding the band. They are for sure one of the most extreme metal bands in the world but even though this album contains everything that made them so famous in the first place it feels like they are repeating themselves a little too much for their own good. The controversial part is not gone either and according to the band themselves they have recruited a well-known Australian criminal called "Big Kev" to do vocals on the track "Organized Sadistik Abuse". This is a standard Sadistik Exekution album but it's still good music with extremely fast, crushing riffs and raw vocals that defy all current trends. Sadistik Exekution have always been and will always be Sadistik Exekution and nothing else. There is nothing new here though and I think they have done better in the past. This time they have copied themselves a little bit too much and after the eighth track the album kind of dies on you. A good album from a good reliable band but nothing out of the ordinary.
