REVIEW: Satellite - A Street Between Sunset And Sunrise Metal Mind Records, 2003
5.5/10
Satellite - A Street Between Sunset And Sunrise - cover art Satellite is a band led by Wojtek Szadkowsky, who led his previous band, Collage. Satellite plays a new age type of prog rock, with slow, nostalgic-inducing grooves. And unfortunately, their sound does not come off as good. In every song there are snippets of beautiful melodies, but around those melodies are God-awful passages that that could be placed in any other song, at any time, and the song wouldn’t be disrupted. And to top it off, the musicians are mediocre. They don’t provide anything special. I admit, Wojtek is a good drummer. He has finesse around him, but he can’t compensate for the average talent.
