REVIEW: Set Your Goals - Mutiny Alveran Records, 2006
7/10
Set Your Goals - Mutiny - cover art The San Francisco quintet Set Your Goals plays fast-paced melodic punk with some hardcore influences. Their EP “Reset” was released earlier this year on Alveran Records as an introduction of the band to the audience and now they are back with their full-length debut “Mutiny”. The band shows improvement and Set Your Goals have a lot of energy in the new album and many of the songs are quite catchy. This is feel-good-music that makes a great soundtrack for the summer with its intensity and sing-a-longs, definitely not for those who like their music filled with anger. If you are into music that leaves you with a happy feeling in the stomach, then this is an album for you. Even though I am not a big fan of this genre I can’t stop myself from marking the beat with my foot at some times.
