REVIEW: Sic Seed - Promo 2003 Sinternational Records, 2003
7/10
Sic Seed - Promo 2003 - cover art Interesting and different is what first comes to mind when I listened to these three songs from Sic Seed. Each song is totally different from the other. I wish there were a few more songs included on the CD because then I could get a better understanding of what this band is all about. From what I heard I liked these guys. The songs are drum driven with layered vocals. The vocalist is all over the place. Most of his vocals are understandable, but he also proves that he can be mental with psychotic deliveries, and guttural death metal growls. I however do not like his clean vocals when he actually sings. Sic Seed is a band that would be fun to play at a party, just to see how people would react. If you like any of these styles of music: Hardcore, death, grind, thrash, doom metal, or even jazz, then you’ll find something that you like from this trio. The intro to "The House Of No Secrets" is straight out of one of Primus’ song books, which could be a good or bad thing. These three songs are just too short to give an accurate rating. I enjoyed almost every second that Sic Seed delivered.
