REVIEW: Sound and Fury - Sound and Fury Rebel Youth Records, 2007
7/10
Sound and Fury - Sound and Fury - cover art I received this in a parcel of CDs that I got in a trade with one of my better trade partners. He knows of my leanings towards the genres of punk/sleaze/hair metal. I took a look at it and was not immediately sold -- it looked like straight up punk, at its most derivative form. I did a Google search to see what info I could dig up and came up with nada. So this will be a short, no frills synopsis of the disc.

It's a guitar heavy, rifftastic kick back to the 80's punkish street metal sound... almost reminding me of an unholy union of Zodiac Mindwarp and early Offspring. Big meaty shout along vocals, fast drums, and fast bass. The opening cut, "School's Out" is no relation to the Alice Cooper classic but a sonic slice of teenage angst and fury. And after that you get 10 more slices of it.

It's just good ol' fun, furious punk metal. Case closed.
