The band self
describes the material as "very Heavy Blues Rock" and
features
the guitar
work and vocals of David T. Chastain (and also Kevin Kekes
on
bass - a
former member of Damien- and Dennis Lesh on drums). I was
personally hoping
to receive a release that was closer to the style
that we
all came to love
David, which is pure heavy metal or instrumental Metal
music. Sadly -as it is
becoming obvious straight away from the album
title-
this is not the case.
I have no problem with the fact that the band
tried to
take their early ZZ
Top, Robin Trower, Hendrix and (to smaller
quantities)
Skynyrd influences
and just play their music in a heavier way! My
problem is
that the blues
simply don't excite me at all, even though it is
obviously
well played.
Apparently David wanted to release a "Heavy Blues Rock"
album
for a long
time, but time constrains probibited him from doing so. He
claims to be
happy to have created this album and from the fact that he
has
also managed
to do the lead vocals on this album. As for the lyrical
content, it is about
sex, love, lust and heartbreak and obviously
