Supreme Court are from Finland, with all four members aged 21-25, formed in late 1999. According to their own words they stand firmly behind the values of old school metal and groove-oriented very hard rock delivered blistering live. This is the 3rd recording via their own pseudo-label Satan Claus Records (I like this, it sounds nice, but they don’t have satanic lyrics as one could initially assume), while they aim for a record deal. Although they seem to have been influenced by many bands of various styles, however I think their sound is closer to that of Pantera and Megadeth.
They have an aggressive style, coarse vocals with screaming outbreaks which I don’t think they fit much to their general music style. Individually they have musical abilities but the whole result is rather boring due to the fact that they play the already well-known patterns, without any originality.
This release is recommended for Pantera fans, while all others would better remain more reserved. One could easily hear them, but couldn't listen to them many times. They are not bad but they should make improvements and innovations. Among the 4 tracks of this release I would say that the second one ("Lamb") is the flatter, while I would distinguish the last one ("Dead End"), which sets some hope for the future, mainly due to the rhythm changes and the vocal variation.
