The Växjö, Sweden, based four-some Talion do everything right in order to receive a record contract in their mailbox. They play live as much as possible, they write new material very quickly and they play death / thrash metal which is very hot today in the eyes of labels. Do names like Carnal Forge, Soilwork, The Forsaken, Darkane or The Haunted ring any bells for you? If not, well, then you should probably take a look at today's metal sceen and discover all the wonderful music you have missed out on. Back to Talion now. They are between 20 and 21 years old and are going for a record contract but in fact half the band already has one. Guitarist Erik Almström and drummer Gustav Hjortsjö are also members of the band Bullet whose other half is made up of ex-Hypnosia members. With Bullet they have a record deal with the Polish underground label Agonia Records. Like most other bands in their genre, Talion doesn't have anything new or groundbreaking to offer the world but they play fast, tight, intense death / thrash metal that should please many of you who are into bands like the ones I mentioned above. This three song demo show a promising band that has been around since 1997 despite the youth of the band members.
