REVIEW: Tenebrum Infectus - Tenebrum Infectus Adipocere Records, 2004
4.5/10
Tenebrum Infectus - Tenebrum Infectus - cover art Tenebrum Infectus have released their first full length album, promising grind injected death metal, and that’s exactly what you get. Sure they’re fast, and quality musicians, but each song sounds the same as the last, and they all sound like most of the death metal these days. Is that genre ever saturated!! Very few bands sound original anymore. The vocals are harsh guttural groans, with a second voice that screeches through the pounding blast beats. Only a select few songs stand out here, “The Blooding Cannibal Feast” was really the only one that stood out for me. The band seems to be infatuated with Pig’s, and hating religion. So if you like that sort of thing too, then check this out. I find that the live tracks sound much better than the studio recordings. More energy, and their sound is rawer. Also included are a couple video’s to play on your PC, both are odd, but still not worth buying this disk. The only thing better than this band is the bands they list as influences. Aside from the strange cover art, I wouldn’t give these guys a second thought.
