REVIEW: Terror 2000 - Terror For Sale Scarlet Records, 2005
9/10
Terror 2000 - Terror For Sale - cover art The Sportlov of Swedish melodic death / thrash metal once again enter the spotlight with their third full-length album thus far - "Terror For Sale" - an incredibly intense and energetic feast for every fan of the genre. If you think Björn "Speed" Strid has lost some of the rough edge in Soilwork then you will love what he is doing here which is some of his most aggressive and crazy vocal performances ever. On more than one occasion I can't help but smile at the humoristic lyrics and schizophrenic vocals and can't help but suspect that at least Speed is a big fan of another crazy, spaced out band named System Of A Down but this is far more intense and furious metal that spews out one riff after another at a raging pace. This is one hell of an album where Speed definitely proves the meaning of his nickname. Featuring musicians such as Darkane's Klas Ideberg and Erik Thyselius (Construcdead, Face Down) the individual skills on display are impressive beyond comparison in today's extreme metal scene. "Terror For Sale" is one of the finest death / thrash metal albums ever released and if you listen to songs such as "Five Star Prison" or "Flesh Fever Fiesta" you will know what I mean. Are you ready for an adrenaline rush that will leave you breathless?
