REVIEW: Terror Organ - Buzzbomb: Vergeltungswaffe Mhz 28 Self-financed, 2001
6.5/10
Terror Organ - Buzzbomb: Vergeltungswaffe Mhz 28 - cover art Pete Helmkamp was the bass player and vocalist for the American death metal band Angel Corpse from its beginning in 1995 til death in 2000. They released three full-length albums for Osmose Productions before splitting up for several reasons. Pete didn't give up music though and now he is back in the business with his new band Terror Organ together with his wife Lea. This is completely different from Angel Corpse though and I doubt it will appeal to the same people. Terror Organ is harsh noise with lots of electronics, samples, weird bass lines and keyboard compositions coupled with spoken words, distorted vocals and sexual insinuations. This is not music for the average music fan, this is made for people who know how to appreciate the fine art of sonic terror and chaotic destructive music. If you are into apocalyptic noise and would like to experience something interesting yet hauntingly scary you should check out Terror Organ. Perhaps they are what you have been looking for all your life? This is no masterpiece that I will be playing every day but it is still a nice noise release.
