REVIEW: Thy Disease - Devilish Art Of Creation Metal Mind Records, 2001
4/10
Thy Disease - Devilish Art Of Creation - cover art I think personally the Polish metalscene has become increasingly interesting the later years, especially within death metal, but also the quality of other forms of metal has certainly improved from what it once was. Although I mention the general lever of Polish music has improved, Thy Disease only shows a part of this. They are damn well played, and the production is tight, but when it comes to their form of melodic black metal, it falls behind comparing the band to their European comrades. It becomes too unstructured, and too often the songs roll over without even making a small impression on the listener, in this case, me. The only funny thing with this CD was really the Madonna cover "Frozen", which actually turned out pretty decent, where they also had the use of a female vocal for once. Apart from that, a highly forgettable album.
