This is black metal. Pure, aggressive black metal. And there is only one person behind the whole thing. His name is Vladimir Cochet, he lives in Switzerland and he knows how to make great music. He’s playing all instruments, performs all the vocals and has programmed the drums. Now some of you might think that it’s not real if there isn’t a human drummer, but I don’t care. Everything sounds just like it ought to, but a little bit faster. Every single ingredient is there and is perfected by a genius. I will love this record till death! There are the slower passages with many keyboards and on the contrary you find the most blasting pieces of metal music. The vocals are great! The guitars are excellent! The drums are out of this world! You won’t understand until you hear this masterpiece for yourself and I sure hope you do. Because... this is a masterpiece! One track that stands out as a little special among the others is the finishing inferno called "Selbstmord". It is chaos defined and an odd tune but in some way it has caught me. First though I didn’t like it at all, but after having it on repeat for ten times or so I started to understand it and feel that it has a function on this record. Keywords when describing Unholy Matrimony: Blast, variation, harmonies, melodies… and the fact that the lyrics and artwork is great do not shake the character either. "TOGETHER AS ONE – THE TRUTH SHALL BE OURS".
