I've never quite understood these types of compilation records. Who exactly is buying them? Where's the market? Often, as is the case
with Thrash'til Death, compilers pay for one big name song, than mish-mash twenty other lesser known tunes together, I assume attempting to sell to the casual fan. The guy that 'remembers' Thrash Metal sees "Indians" by Anthrax, and he might buy this thing.
There's some really great music on this 2 CD set. However, anyone's that really into Thrash already has all this stuff ten times over, so it's got to be aimed for the casual market, and this is where it fails.
It's not definitive Thrash Metal. With the exception of Testament and Overkill, maybe Death Angel, it's all under the radar stuff or a few classic bands (i.e, zee Germans) for those steeped in the genre. A better title would have been Average Thrash Songs from Underground Thrash Bands, featuring Indians by Anthrax.
