Blast – “A violent explosion, as of dynamite or a bomb.” That is Vorkreist on ”Sabbathical Flesh Possession”. The word “mercy” does not exist in these 5 French “unpure minds”. They’re satanic, they’re evil and they’re aggressive and brutal. They’re shredding, they’re sharp and they are every Christian’s nightmare. Vorkreist was summoned to “spread their hate towards humanity and dedication to the black war cult”. And though I don’t share this hatred I like their music very much. I mean, who doesn’t want to really blow out every little in the head sometimes. I will listen to Vorkreist when coming home from a hard day in school or at work in the future. It’s the perfect medicine against tiredness. Ok, now to the music: What Vorkreist is playing is raw and brutal thrash / death / black metal with melodic guitars. The drums tend to blur because of the production but the aggression is far from lost. This record is 36:51 minutes of pure violence. Nothing that my mom appreciates but I like it! Even though the production isn’t the best you still can hear that the guys are good musicians and they have come up with some great thrashing riffs. The vocals are good too. But there are more similar to this and that is more interesting, so it’s up to you! If you are a collector of this kind of music, shredding guitars, blasting drums and satanic vocals, Vorkreist might be a nice buy for you. If not: Stay Away or you’ll be overrun!
