REVIEW: Wasteform - Ignorance Through Sovereignty Xtreem Music, 2004
3/10
Wasteform - Ignorance Through Sovereignty - cover art From New York comes the band Wasteform, releasing this 10 track album through Spanish Xtreem Music and as I listen through this record, I'm uncertain where to begin this review. I guess that the first thought would be how the hell this band landed a record deal. Even as the first song is pumping through the stereo I'm struck by the horrible sound of the production and also realize that the album is too long for this kind of monotonous bullocks. The individual performances might be okay, part from the vocalist who really needs to reconsider his career choice, but when put together to a unit it is far from tight, incredibly boring and catastrophically predictable. For their sake, I do hope they have wicked looking instruments so that they at least fill a function as wall decoration. The only thing saving this album from a 2 rating is that I cannot make out the lyrics and as such still have a shred of hope that these guys have at least something to deliver.
