This is pretty straight forward Death/Grind right off the bat, starting with only a few drums and slightly groove injected guitar riff the album soon explodes into blast beats and the classic dual vocals. However the vocals are a little different from your Impaled or Exhumed style high-pitch scream then super guttural growl, the main difference being that they aren’t so much dual vocals as triple vocals. The guitarist and the bassist contribute to the vocal load to create three different styles (yelling, growling, and screaming) that are more often than not sung simultaneously. Moving on to the other instrumentals, the drummer does fairly well at keeping pace with the music and he doesn’t skimp on the blast beats (which is as everyone knows a necessity in Grind music), the bassist is somewhat absent throughout the CD (this is fairly common in extreme metal unfortunately), and the guitarist is good at interjecting groove in his guitar riffing throughout the album. The production is okay, but the problem lies in the fact that aside from the groove from the guitar there really isn’t much that makes this album stand out from the other Grind acts nowadays (It also doesn’t help that they are afflicted with the Grind curse of an album that clocks in at a meager 23:49). This album is fast and brutal and surely any die-hard Death/Grind fan would enjoy having it, but there really wasn’t much on the album that made it stand out from the hordes of Grind acts nowadays. Sedimente is an undeniably good effort but I think that Wojczech regrettably falls a bit below the mark this time around.
