Everyone's favorite across-the-pond, 2-member, Death Metal demo/project band is back with another killer offering. This time around they have developed their sound a bit such that they kill 5 songs in 17 minutes (instead of 5 in ~12 like last time). Overall, I definitely hear some "In Cold Blood"-era Malevolent Creation influences on the new one instead of any Incantation vibe that was present on the previous effort. The vocals are primarily of the ultra-guttural Suffocation variety, though with some layering a la the mighty Deicide, and the guitars still borrow heavily from the swamped out sound of Morbid Angel. This is great stuff, my friends.
Germany's Mathias "Mat" Bunte (also of The Ocean Collective) supplies drums and vocals while Chicago's Eric "Eirc" Bauer (also of Morgue Supplier) plays all guitars and bass and even supplies additional drums. All the music is American while the lyrics are Teutonic in origin (that means the German dude wrote 'em, pal). No, this is not the most original thing coming down the pike, but the passion and precision with which World of Shit shreds is to be commended.
Mr. Bauer had this to offer: "We are even gonna do another [demo] in spring 2006 or at least write more songs for a major label RELEASE!! We're gonna finally try to put this bitch on the map." You have been warned. Either help 'em or stay outta their way. If you want to spread the word, get in touch with Eric at worldofsh_t
