REVIEW: Yattering - Genocide Candlelight Records, 2003
7.5/10
Yattering - Genocide - cover art The promo version of this album comes with liner notes that tell Yattering's sad tale of label woes. It seems that this Polish outfit has been stymied by the music industry, hence their relative silence in the recent past following great releases like "Human's Pain" and "Murders Concept." Yattering's music, though, speaks louder than any liner notes can, which only solidifies their deserved place in the extreme metal world. Their trademark technical prowess shines brightly on tracks like "Non Adapted Socially" and "Sentence To Die", and guitar work of an extremely high calibre is evinced on "Temptation of a Crime". Blood vessels broke as I listened to "Murderer You Are", a track with aptly injurious bursts of rhythmic violence rarely found these days. I can only assume that a certain "Mario" was somehow part of the band's contractual trouble, as he is repeatedly slagged during the album. Polish mayhem from one of the best!
