I’ve listened to all types of music and played or sung most of them in my years in school. What stuck on me was metal. Preferably death and trash metal, if possible with progressive influences. Metal to me seems like a very healthy way of expressing anger. And the way things look today we seem be carrying a lot of aggression. I have never experienced another musical genre that takes you through the whole emotional scale at the same time. This musical style might be the only one that’s untouched by greediness and decay in a world where everything is about money. Metal has a form of purity, something that is based on true emotions, and that leaves freedom to the artist to create what he or she feels. To me that’s priceless.
